Ava helps me blogSeeing as how the lunatics have officially taken over the asylum, on the Internet generally, and in blogging world particularly, I thought that my readers may want some helpful information about just who the hell I am.

My name is Hutch, and I’ve been blogging off and on since about 2002. The original page was called Guerrilla Radio, and was part of The Well of Hope’s community of blogs. After a while, I let the original blog just go defunct, and started blogging on Wordpress.com at the underground cross. I started this page, first because I wanted to own my own name, so to speak, and because the impetus for the original site had changed dramatically in a year.

Right now my life is fairly equally divided between work, where I’m managing a Chick-fil-A as well as pastoring H20, a college ministry focused on the University of South Carolina, and writing or sleeping. I do my best to keep the blog updated so that ya’ll can come by and chew on some theology every once in a while. In the midst of all of that, I’ve started working on a manuscript that’s working title is Adoptive Grace about my struggles with faith and being adopted, first by my wonderful family, and then by God, into His wonderful family the church.
